Eco Week
May 24-31, 2026

The focus of the work is the maintenance and marking of hiking trails around Morinesio.
This includes trimming overgrown vegetation, removing uprooted trees, earthworks, and renewing trail markers.
We will work in groups, with assignments organized according to tasks and individual abilities.
What you need to bring is the joy of contributing to the preservation of this unique cultural landscape,
as well as good footwear, gloves, etc.
We would be delighted if many of you participate.
Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Raku Course with Verena Siol
June 21-28, 2026

Raku is an old firing technique originating from Japan. The pieces are made from high-grog clay.
During the glaze firing, the workpieces are removed from the kiln with tongs at the moment the glaze melts.
They are then smoked without oxygen, using wood shavings or other natural materials.
The result is crackled and blackened pieces with a surprising surface.
In dialogue with clay—by pausing and opening up to the surroundings—you create a free space for your own personal development. The creative process begins with inspiration—an impulse that comes from outside and can take effect when it meets inner openness.
Vessels and figures (sculptures) are created consciously and are uniquely transformed by fire, smoke, and water.
The focus of this intensive Raku course is sensing your own visual language, bringing nature into the process, and finding inspiring material structures and forms in plants and wood.
